Travel Study Group J visit The Museum of London

The Museum of London documents the history of London from prehistoric to modern times. The museum comprises a series of chronological galleries containing original artefacts, models, pictures and diagrams with a strong emphasis on archaeological discoveries and London's cultural and social life. The museum is the largest urban history collection in the world, with more than six million items.

The itinerary is as follows,

8:00 am   Pick up at Ellendune Centre, Wroughton Map (Free parking in the community centre car park)
8:10 am   Pick up at Pipers Way (Bus Stop outside Intel on the Marriott / Piper's Way Roundabout. )
8:15 am   Pick up at Coate Water (Parking at Coate Water Country park. Pick-up is the Bus Stop by the BP Garage opposite the Sun Inn.)
10:30 am   approx. arrive at Museum
4:00 pm   Depart for Swindon

Cost is £20.00 (Includes coach and driver’s gratuity. Entry to the Museum is free.)

Catering: The museum has two cafe's and a restaurant. There is also a Lunch Hall where visitors can enjoy their own packed lunch. Any members wishing to have a day in London without visiting the Museum are welcome. The Barbican and St Paul's Cathedral are a five minute walk from the museum.
